As a (temporary) workaround, you can use the xorg packages out of Ubuntu's Intrepid release. They can be found in the "ppa" archive. With a bit of work, I have proper panel resolution and HDMI out working (no 3D at the moment). In order to do this, however, I need to have all of ubuntu's xorg in
