packa...@qa.debian.org, so I can proceed with a QA upload in order
to correct some of the known bugs?

there is no need for that: the package is already orphaned when the
bug has been filed.
so I can proceed with a QA upload
I have just uploaded a new release on m.d.n setting the maintainer to
the QA team.
