4.0.3.0pre1v2 with wmaker 0.64.0-5.
After upgrading all of X from Branden's repo and today's Sid updates,
including libssl0.9.6 0.9.6a-1, I can no longer startx...
/var/log/XFree86.0.log shows nothing unusual, however

At school I maintain several systems with SiS 6236 video cards. I
upgraded to branden's 4.0.3 packages today, and three major problems
went away:
1. When you first start the X server, no images or text are drawn. You
have to switch to text-mode and back to get them.
