Hello.
I've been searching in vain for XFree86 4.0.1 or 4.0.2
packages. I tried the debian-user list but get no
reply, so I try here. I hope I'm not breaking list
rules.
Does anyone know where I can find them? Or if that's
not possible, how I can build my own?

Hello,
I've just wanted to give a try to Branden's latest XFree86 4.2.0
packages. I decided to do this, because 4.1.0 from woody freezes every
few minutes (a known problem). I have Trident Microsystems 3DIm`age 975
(rev 243) card.
The problem with the new packages is, that the colors are to

Building a static (i.e., non-modularized) XFree86 X server has failed on
the m68k architecture as well as SPARC. i386, Alpha, and ia64 are okay.
Here's the m68k failure:
gcc -o XFree86 -O2 -ansi -pedantic -Wall -Wpointer-arith -Wstrict-prototypes -Wm
issing-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wre
