Im running a knoppix CD and having a bitch of a time getting X to work in anything
greater than
640x480. knoppix3.3 9/24/2003 using x4.3
do you think its an X thing or something else?

It was a bug (process esp breakage in interrupt handler) in a kernel module
I was playing with and forgot to unload.
