Hi
Do anybody has successfully build the intel driver for i845g with kernel
2.6.
I recently found a message which point me to check if I had direct
rendering enabled with glxinfo.
glxinfo said I don't have direct rendering enabled, even if I have
loaded agpgart, intel-agp and i830 kernel modules
I have tried the following:
- commented out the line for dri in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
- /etc/init.d/kdm restart
- select kumppa from KDE's Configure screensavers
Both in the preview pane and when run in the root window, the system does
_not_ freeze anymore.
However, the screensaver runs very much

Does the problem go away if you don't
I would say that is correct. Today I had the same symptom while resizing a
window (kde 3.1.5 's kate).
I have since upgraded to the kernel package below
kernel-source-2.4.24 2.4.24-3 Linux kernel source for version 2.4.24 with
Debian patches
And am now running on a leaner selfcompiled kernel.

That didn't do it. But I did manage to isolate the problem. If I

So, your System works okay now?
If so, this Bug can be closed.
It works but not perfectly. This bug can be closed (though you may want
to improve documentation) but I may open others...

When trying to install xfree86-common with dash installed as /bin/sh,
the installation fails with a syntax error.

Hi there!
I got exactly the same problem after upgrading from an inofficial XFree
4.3 version. To solve it I simply copied my old 4.2.1 /etc/X11/xkb
folder over to the newly installed one and it worked!

BTW, on a testing/sid system, you need dri-mach64-sid instead. I don't
think the problem is related to that though.

I was trying to build [1]dri-mach64-2002.12.29 on my sparc. For DRI to work
I'm told I need to keep byte size matched for kernel and user. This means I
must build dri in 64 bit. I don't realy know what this error means but
