I am also getting the milky screen problem after upgrading to xserver-xfree86 4.3.0-7 in testing. My card is a radeon 7500 and has a DVI output. I use a dvi to vga adapter to connect to a Samsung NF900 crt. I don't have an s-video cable connected. I'll try an updated driver as soon as I can.
