Using debconf to configure xfree86, it changes my specified keymap
(en_US) to "en-US". I can't find "en-US" referenced anywhere, and

I've just upgraded my one of the boxes I work on and found that
CrossCompile is now being defined in imake. In the version I was
running previously (which I have on another machine) it was not defined

I found that my system had a "dangling" file that had not been erased
properly and was interfering with the install.

I am also getting the milky screen problem after upgrading to
xserver-xfree86 4.3.0-7 in testing. My card is a radeon 7500 and has a
DVI output. I use a dvi to vga adapter to connect to a Samsung NF900
crt. I don't have an s-video cable connected. I'll try an updated driver
as soon as I can.
This patch helps, though the second head is still a bit fuzzy.
One other thing I've noticed is that the clock range is detected
by X as 16.25 to 110.00 MHz, though the board specs claim a max of
250MHz.

I didn't know xfs-xtt was outmoded and I had a reason in the past to prefer
it. I don't remember what it was, but it seems to be gone: I changed to xfs
and I'm satisfied with it.
