Bug#290238:
Hello there,
I've modified the file /etc/X11/xdm/Xresources adding the line
xlogin*allowNullPasswd: true
to enable graphical login fom a user without password but it didn't
work. Checking in /ar/log/auth.log I noticed the following lines:
Jan 15 18:56:34 DeeJay: (pam_securetty)
Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.1.0-16woody5
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
Just updated (stable) my clamshell iBook and after rebooting XFree86 failed on
startup.
It would flash 3-4 times then go into single user mode. I have *not* modified
the default
XF86Config-4

You restarted the computer, or
Ran dpkg-reconfigure and changed mouse binding from /dev/psaux to
/dev/mouse and window system works again. Attached at the bottom of the
msg is the current (working) XF86Config-4. However, it would be nice
if the update didn't break it in the first place...i.e. installed a
config file

Hi there,
most likely this is for the upstream developers, but they are at 4.4 and
as far is I heard Sarge will never go there anyways.
I use an IBM Thinkpad A20m. When I connect to an external display a clone

I tried the font in cygwin on a windoze box, same problem.
The bold font (visible in any man page, rendering them unreadable) is
visibly broken in the same way.
The fact that this appears in an X distro so far from debian's unstable
leads me to believe a few things:
1) this isn't debian's fault

I have the same problem on my Radeon 9800 Pro. Thanks for the details
about it only available on one head at a time. I'm going to swap plugs
in the back so it works for me (guess it's not so easy of laptops...)
