Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 6.8.2.dfsg.1-11
Severity: normal
It seems there is a conflict between two versions of a file, on e in
xserver-xorg and the other in nvidia-glx. Thus, when I try to upgrade to
xserver-xorg_6.9.0.dfsg.1-4, the upgrade fails. See the following error
message :
Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4
Severity: normal
As you see from the included files, I got a strange clock range and then
all video modes were rejected and the xserver gave up.
xserver-xorg version 6.8.2 did not do this.

I have always used 16-bit color on the G550, because 24-bit have all sorts of
crashing problems.
Now I get all sorts of drawing artifacts. for example, my xterms

hi,
I've just purchased a dell 1905fp, which supports screen rotation. I use
a nvidia GeForce 4 MX440-based mideo card, with the nv driver, and run a
sid system (a little out od date, but I've just updated to xorg 6.9).
I'm just beginning to explore randr, and looking through the

Because I want the physical NumLock key to do something else, I have
rebound it with:
keycode 77 = Undo
in .xmodmap
Now I want to bind have NumLock somewhere else, so I thought I'd bind it
to the right Win key like this:
keycode 116 = Num_Lock
When I start xev and press the right win key, it

When the laptop screen is switched off using 'xset dpms force off', it
only switches off for a few seconds, then the backlight comes back on
although the screen stays blank. The backlight should stay off.
