Hi there!
Please keep the Debian FSO Team [1] mailing list always Cc:ed. If you

I discovered these issues because of the Xglamo KDrive server [2]. The
problem is described also at [3].

After a system upgrade (listed below) I foun that after a few hours work
the capslock, ctrl, shift sometimes alt modifier keys fail to be processed

without at least a config and log file, we really cannot do anything...
The config file is no problem. See attached.
The log file, on the other hand, is not so simple. It seems to be lost
when the reboot occurs; i.e. /var/log/Xorg.0.log contains log output
from the last time that X was started
I will set up a null modem cable shortly, and see whether the kernel
has anything to say about this.
Done; no messages from the kernel when the reboot occurs.
Is there a way to redirect the X server's log output to a serial port?

Dear X team,
the X server starts GDM with NumLock switched on. This would not be a
big issue if the bug #464041 would not prevent the NumLock key to work
on some keybords (like IBM-SK-8845): this removes seven alphabetic
letters

I as well.
So, I want to report this useless backtrace and see that the 'compiz' package
itself was not installed. So I installed it with its suggestion:
'compizconfig-settings-manager'.
To be sure, I retried, and this time it was
