Sorry. I mean, all of this works in KDM, but not after logging in to the KDE

I had the same issue on a Intel 82Q35 Express.
I for a couple days now haven't had any issues by switching to use UXA
and KMS (kernel-based mode setting).
I am not sure which fixed it but I don't have corruption.
