Nouveau kernel driver

I'd like to pull nouveau from 2.6.33 into Debian's 2.6.32. I'm hoping this would allow for replacement of nv and its dodgy source with nouveau (I realise nouveau has its own issues with non-free bits, but they're more easily separable). Does this sound like a good idea? Ben. -- Ben Hutchings O
