It's due to version 2.4.17-1 of libdrm-intel1 (with version 2.4.15-1
everything works fine).
It's unlikely that noise() was your problem, given that no apps use it
since it's useless on most drivers -- we're an exception in trying to
actually implement it instead of returning 0.5. MESA_GLSL=log would
produce log files in cwd you can look through to see if noise() is
present.

I've got the same problem and get only a black screen, if I start the
xserver. The error in the log is similar.
Unfortunately I hadn't kept the old packages, so I couldn't recover
