We are using Debian Linux on 600 HP thin clients and about once every
2-3 weeks those employees that have compiz enabled crash the Xserver.

Thanks,
I've prepared a new version of 2.12+UMS packages, which is available
at the same place:
http://people.debian.org/~kibi/packages/xserver-xorg-video-intel/
Version is now: 2.12.0-1+ickle2
There's also a fix for UMS in the mesa package I've just

Probably you are the uploader of the following file(s) in
the Debian upload queue directory:
mesa_7.7.1-4.diff.gz
mesa_7.7.1-4.dsc
This looks like an upload, but a .changes file is missing, so the job
cannot be processed.
If no .changes file arrives within 23:29:07, the files will be deleted.
Here it is.

Hi,
In my .xinitrc/.xsession I have a call to "xmodmap .xmodmap" (I use a US
keyboard/layout and I need French diacritic characters), which works
just fine. The problem is that after an upgrade (I use debian unstable
and I upgraded the packages two days ago (previous update was 23 June)),

For the last few days, my keymap switching seems to be working
correctly. I currently have xserver-xorg 1:7.5+1
Closing the bug then?

Today, after two days without problems, my X server crashed at startup

Seems that the problem was in the hardware. Reconnecting the monitor decreased
the blinking somewhat and now it disappeared completely with no obvious reason.
Please close the bug.
