Nevermind. I got it working, found some info on a gentoo forum. Apparently you can't use framebuffer with KMS which makes sense and I never used KMS so I didn't know this. So in case anyone else asks, I removed the framebuffer drivers and got it booting. On Wed, Oct 27, 2010 at 1:56 AM, Peter
