Package: x11-utils
Version: 7.6+1
Severity: minor
Hi,
I just noticed that x11-utils depends on cpp. I was wondering and
consulted the changelog for an explanation. I found the following entry:
xbase-clients (1:7.2.ds2-2) unstable; urgency=low
[ Brice Goglin ]
* Restore Depends: on cpp
Hi,
Hilmar Preusse hill...@web.de (23/04/2011):
However xrdb is not in x11-utils, but in x11-xserver-utils (which
depends on cpp). I guess the dep on cpp can be removed.
from a quick git grep | grep -v … looks like it can indeed go away.
Thanks for the bug.
KiBi.

Hi,
Rafael Garrido rgarrid...@gmail.com (23/04/2011):
My touchpad works by loading the psmouse module(modprobe psmouse), I
don't know why not loaded at startup. I added to /etc/modules
wild guess, udev + /run bug or something, leading to missing modules
(not loaded automatically)?

FWIW, we now have libdrm 2.4.25 in experimental, and x-x-v-intel

upstream.
Upgrading x-x-v-i to 2:2.15.0-1 appears to have solved the bug for me at
least.

I think I am experiencing this same problem. When xdm starts, I have
no keyboard or mouse, either with my internal keyboard/mouse (thinkpad
x201) or with an external USB keyboard.
Hi,
I'm using debian testing and upgraded my packages this morning and
found exactly the same problem as described by the original bug
report. Running glxinfo shows I'm supposed to have direct rendering:
