You could use my unichrome git tree, you can dpkg-buildpackage it.

via_id.c contains a table to match up subsystem ids. In reality there
are only 10 unique unichrome device ids.

The bulk of the work is getting a server with libpciaccess built. I'm
sure that most other drivers, except for a few, can be trivially ported
as well.
The biggest pains with libpciaccess were/are atimisc and IGP devices.

The debian x.org comes with a unichrome.sf.net version and the
appropriate manpage. The X.org 6.8.2 release still came with something
very closely resembling the august 2003 VIA release (due to my tardyness

an attribute system, it will, next to ch7011, also support vt1622.
An attribute system here, for unichrome, will mean that everyone should
be able to control quite a lot of driver and output devices related
parameters, dynamically.

will require a sisctrl like application, which is one of the many things
on my TODO list.
The list of available modes is provided in the manpage. I have reproduced
what was accepted by your X, and reported in your log, above.

That patch fixes many things, but it doesn't fix unichrome pro (PM/N800
in this case) support. Nothing much currently does so in a way that i'd
support. Testing is far from complete and i don't have access to this
type of hardware myself.
