If you installed systemd, maybe you need to install libpam-systemd too to
solve this issue

First of all select your desired resolution in 'dpkg-reconfigure
xserver-xorg', after, when you run 'dpkg-reconfigure -fnoninteractive
xserver-xorg', the resolutions selected before are erased on the
xorg.conf file, also, when you run 'dpkg-reconfigure xs
Also with the layour defined, the bug is here, i have tried to set the
layout to "es" and it appears " es" to the xorg.conf when is generated

all, have a look to xorg.conf file, and see if it exists. if it
