Hi,
I'm using X.org on an nvidia card(Nvidia Go 7400) on my laptop.
There are two ways to work around this bug.
1. Use the 'nv' driver
2. In GNOME go to Desktop > Preferences > Font and choose "Subpixel
Smoothing (LCD)" .
This looks more like a nvidia (binary) driver issue.

Hi,
While playing video files using totem/xine/mplayer the following error occurs.
The program 'totem' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for ope

Yes, the module mismatch is harmless.
Does X11R7 require a login manager like gdm/xdm/kdm to run for it to operate?

Hi,
I guess the problem is not with the i810 module.
When I started gdm the probelm got fixed and X starts up fine now.
No idea why though.

Hi,
I've recently upgraded to X.org (X11R7) of unstable running on the
Intel 865 chipset.

and then quits throwing this error:
[ EE]I810(0): [ dri]I830DRIScreenInitfailed because of has version mismatch.
