Bug#462441: xserver-xorg: alt key gets stuck

2008-04-03 Thread Andrea Vettorello
Seems the latest xserver-xorg-core (2:1.4.1~git20080131-3) fixed my stuck/autorepeat bug, at least here I can't reproduce it anymore. Thanks a lot. And yeah, this time I used a spell checker... ^__^ -- Andrea -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". T

Oh yes, before I forget: apparently there's now a patch. Please see: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/194214 (specifically comment #88 by Tom Jaeger on 2008-03-28). The mailing list thread starting at http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2008-March/034244.html Please

I've seen this as recently as 2:1.4.1~git20080131-2, quite regularly, once in two days to twice a day. Trying to use setxkbmap to reset the keyboard layout causes the X server to instantly crash citing Xkb. I am really, really sick of the numerous bugs in Xorg 7.3. Enough that I've downgraded

This happens reliably with xserver-xorg-core 2:1.4.1~git20080131-1 and xserver-xorg-input-kbd 1:1.2.2-3 here as well - If a metacity shortcut involving ctrl and alt (no others were tested, but probably have similar results) is held until the key would normally repeat, ctrl and alt are permanently

Hello! I'm aware of this bug too. To me it happend a hour ago again when I was testing a game (Guild Wars) with Wine - minimized, maximized, changed resolution. xkbwatch reveals that the alt-key is "pressed" all the time. Is someone willing to track this bug down? I'm available for testing. Fa

Oh, one thing. It could be possible that it's related to linux kernel version. Because xorg is not updated that much on debian etch (only security updates) - it's a stable release after all. But I have 2.6.22 from backports.org, while etch has 2.6.18 by default. -- # Janek Kozicki -- To UN
