Hi,
please add a
Breaks: glx-diversions (<< 0.8.4~)
to libglx-mesa0. The older versions did not handle libGLX_indirect.so.0
which could lead to the nvidia driver removing the libGLX_indirect.so.0
symlink.
Thanks

Hi,
please add a Breaks: glx-diversions ( 0.4) to libgl1-mesa-glx to
ensure clean upgrades from MESA 8 to MESA 9 if the proprietary drivers
are being used. MESA 9 ships libGL.so.1.2.0 which needs to be diverted

Hi,
(adding debian-x@ and quoting in full for context, just in case somebody
there has something to say on this matter.)
Andreas Beckmann deb...@abeckmann.de (15/06/2011):
now that I have to redo the diversion handling :-), I'd like to do it a
bit more general, so that fglrx can use it, too.
Hi guys,
could you please tell us which files you divert in (all of) your
nvidia packages? I'd like to get those reported in the bug script, so
either file lists or patterns would be appreciated.
Thanks already!
KiBi.

In the nvidia-glx bug-script (in SVN) I use the following to list the
interesting stuff about the links, diversions and alternatives:
cat EOF 3
OpenGL and NVIDIA library files installed:
`ls -la /etc/alternatives/*libGL* /usr/lib/libGL.* /usr/lib

I think I'll skip this, and if we detect libgl diversions, tell people
to:
- either get rid of them (usually people have installed nvidia stuff
at some point
}.preinst: remove
diversions made by previous versions of package if present
- debian/{libxrender1,libxrender1-dbg,libxrender-dev}.postrm: deleted
* Removal of the package diversions eliminates several related problems.
