X-Declude-Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [63.246.13.90]
Today my declude list started failing REVDNS.
This happen to anybody else?
Our IP has a reverse DNS entry, and it appears to be set up properly (all
DNS servers returning the same response).
Just an FYI

I've a question about digital signed email messages.
Attached is a message from one of our customers.
He's not able to send digital signed messages. The delivered message says
that the content of the message maybe changed.
Question:
Can header lines added by declude cause such a problem and if

That will happen because of alterations made to the E-mail -- I assume
now I have heard it all.
Can you name One, just One thing the UN has done well?
And now they think they can do thisI almost fell out of my chair

Actually, the ITU is an important international body. Chances are, you would
not enjoy international phone, fax (and data) communication without the ITU
(or a body like that).
As far as what impact various U.N. organizations may or may not have had
throughout history, that is a debate that does
That's why I bit my tongue, kept any other commentary to myself and just

Was just wondering if we can put IP addresses within the whitelist.txt file
that is in the domain folders.
If not, is it a future feature possibility?

No -- only E-mail addresses or domains are allowed there.

It is something that we are considering.
Some of my friends have asked about anti-SPAM software for their personal
computers. Because, I use Declude, I don't have to worry about such things.
Has anyone had good experiences with any particular anti-SPAM product?
Thanks in advance,

Ok.. Thanks..
I guess the client will have to live with it.. Hahahah I put the e-mail
addresses for the domain in the whitelist file but with the spammers out
there and other mailers out there, they're putting the domain e-mail
addresses in the x-sender field and the spam is getting whitelisted
I've tried two at home. IHateSpam works pretty well; it adds special buttons to
whatever email
software you use. This product is good for the average user. But I settled on
PopFile, a
nerd-oriented product which runs outside your email client and has a nifty Web-based
administration
page.

And if you use Outlook you can use Outclass on top of Popfile to get the
nice buttons inside of Outlook for easier
Could they not use a different file with the ipfile test?
For example...
IPWHITELIST ipfile C:\IMail\Declude\ipwhitelist.txt x -50 0

Matt,
What about a DELTREE command? You would do it from the directory above
and so you should not even have to go into the directory in question.
Not sure how well or poorly it would perform.

Well, I gave it about 4 hours to complete a del *.* and it didn't do
it. This is a MS SMTP Badmail directory and I'm only guessing at the
number of actual files because I can't see into that directory. I
figured out the naming convention, and by doing a del *1.bad ought to
target exactly
no native deltree in Windows
If Win2k should be rmdir /S but I don't remember when this was added.

Scott, that might not be good newbie advice to implement that config,
but thanks for the credit :)
I think what Matt should probably look first at what would be how to
configure the tests to do lookups from the same domain for all three
tests in order to be a tad bit
Yep, it's there but same diff. I believe that what happens with all of
these commands is that Windows first enumerates all of the files before
taking any action, and that makes sense being that the location of the
files is only logically oriented. Seemingly however, the pause while

Matt,
I know this doesnt solve the issue per say, but we
wrote a piece of software called QueueMon that you could use to keep this
undercontrol in the future. It can be configured to monitor the queue size
of thebad mail directory and than either notify you orcall an
external script that
Matt,
Here is a very Sandy way to get what you want (no Badmail at
all).
1)UseMetaEdittochange the Badmail directory to
C:\Inetpub\Mailroot\Badmail\NUL and restart SMTPSVC.
2) The above step will trigger event ID 428 Badmail is suspended

I had something like this happen to
me.
I renamed the directory and recreated a new one to
replace the old one.
Then late nite I would del . the contents on the
old folder from a command prompt.
It may seem like it's getting nowhere, but it
is.
This way you can run it for a while and then
Well, I'm late to the party!
I love Sandy's idea, it's a great way to stem the tide.
Matt, absolutely, the problem with the dir based delete commands is
reading through the tree that NTFS creates, which on a busy disk will be
literally all over the hard drive. This would then be complicated
