This is going to a problem for me if it catches on people will think it is cool to password their zip files, and since I block them Just thought I'd heads up the group in case any of you automatically block encrypted files as well. A choice of Zip 2.0 or 128- or 256-bit AES encryption AES

Yep, I block them for good reason. A virus scanner can not (and should not) scan what is inside an encrypted Zip file. My policy stays the same: If you have to send a potentially malicious file, you will have to rename the extension. John Tolmachoff Engineer/Consultant/Owner eServices For You
