I have been a member for a few years, don't get anything from it really.
Except is says your name at the top of the screen when you logon onto the
community site.
I think people are confusing BDN with the Borland Solutions Partner (BSP)
program.
BDN is the new name for the community site http://c

What is the BDN - is it worth belonging to ?
Or, is it just another software thing for those who live in the US.

It seems that the parent company, Aristocrat, is having their business

Still must be missing something here...
Where is $(Delphi) defined as 'c:\program files\borland\delphi7'?
I think that $(Delphi) is resolved by the specific Delphi instance as the path of
"delphi32.exe\.." (or something)
at runtime, not defined beforehand. I quite successfully run all three versi

Hello David,
What is happening here is that Delphi7 has taken over the default path for
$(delphi) as C:\program files\borland\delphi7 where the library is different of
course various components must differ from that of D5 whos path is
C:\borland\delphi5.
Problem 1: after typing the full path in lib
I can't see where $(Delphi) is defined in the registry (It is used by all three
versions I have installed here). Is it a system variable, or does delphi just replace
it with its own path when it needs to?
It is also not set as an environment variable, so I suspect it is just an internal

Getting close now, thanks. I only
want to return those jobs (and subsequent related skills) that a person is held
against in the person employment table.
ie person 1 may only be an office bitch, so i will
only want that employment returned. so the query now looks
like:
SELECT employment.n
Hello David,
Would you do me a wee favour and check that the $(delphi) variable points to
separate librarys for each version, or does it point to one library (the latest
versions library)?
Thanks,
