Any interest in a Derby backed PAM Authentication module?

For those of you who are familiar with PAM, it would be an interesting use for Derby. The trick is that you'd have to write the module in C to connect to derby.. Any interest? I'm working on rewriting the one some one did for Informix as part of a demo database and presentation. Derby would be
