Hi there, while at LinuxTag last weekend, I chatted with the girl, running the resident swag shop there, nicely located at the main entrance / exit aisle.
Her deal is to produce real silk-screened cotton prints (on http://www.basic-wear-gmbh.de/ basics currently), sell them at the venue rather affordably, and afterwards hand over the remaining stock to the projects for her base price (which is low, due to the volume she buys). Something to ponder at least I think. She asks for some 6 weeks advance notice, I'll stick that to my calendar just in case.
