Hi,
Okay, I just installed and tried the snipped plug-in... it's even worse !
That is, I tried all the combinations from Control + F1 through to Control +
F12, and NONE of them work.
I tried Control + and it works fin

The dapper packages have a -dbg version that you can install with the
normal way now (apt, synaptic, etc)
