thanks for reporting this bug in evolution. The problem actually looks like a
problem when an argument is passed to evolution at startup.
When you type "run evolution" in gdb, this passes "evolution" as a parameter to
the program - it's the same as running "evolution evolution".

When I load totem, with or without a movie, the mouse stops working (no
response to clicking, cursor stays static). When I quit totem, the mouse
resumes norm
I'm using file-roller 2.14.0 but the bug is still there!
Actually the file is dropped in the selected window only if you wait enought
time with the button pressed, for the file to be decompressed.
So if you decompress a 1K file the you can't notice this bug, but if you try to
drag and drop a 1GB

I see this bug too (in Dapper). My /etc/timezone was Europe/London and my time
zone in Evolution was UTC, thus probably explaining the disconnect.
However, shouldn't Evolution pick up the system timezone rather than having to
set it explicitly?
