While it should be possible, it is not the sort of thing we react
strongly in favor of upstream. We value our independance from gnome.
If this icon can be pulled without linking against gnome (as the proxy
settings or the browser stuff can be) then it is possible we would
accept it in that form.

Has this bug already been resolved? I added a contact by right-clicking

not show up in my contacts list. The workaround I have found is to save
the address book as a vCard, delete my contact list, and import the

It has not, to my knowledge, been fixed.
Rather than going through all of that though, it may help to find the
contact manually (scroll to wherever it would be) then edit and save the
changes - that worked for me.
That said, I've stopped using Evolution. It has a lot of handy tools,

Charles,
The trade-off for mounting USB devices sync would be faster wear and tear on
the drive, along with applications hanging for longer periods of time while
trying to write data.
Even operating systems that mount sync (Linux OR Windows or whatever) do not
make it safe to yank out USB
It is a bug for the desktop infrastructure to handle keyboard events for

Users of all desktops and users of console will want consistent power

The desktop environment should just write the settings to a config file
