Shared folder does only default to the home directory. I attempted to
make a sub directory but this did not work. It keeps wanting to share
the whole home dir.Ubuntu must fix this. I have an suse dvd on
stand by. There is no reason why this should not have made the Dapper
in time.

default human theme are garbaged, the others are ok, on my desktop with
a ati 9600xt it's all ok, i think the matter is the ati/radeon dri

not other people. Replying to the question usually make easier for
people to fix your issue, just saying "it doesn't work right" is often
of no use for that

I sometimes use the panel, sometimes the terminal. I don't see what it
changes. In all cases, the windows that open get focus automatically,
which is just plain bad.
