I am having the same exact issue described, I did manage to see gnome-
settings-daemon mess up when started by hand a few times, and each time
it outputted the following message before its death:

Alright Sebastien, I found the way to reproduce it. If I start evo
through the gnome panel I get the ketyring dialog, but if I start it
through my key shortcut (ctrl+alt+e in my case) I get the classic

I have the problem when evolution is launched by Firefox when I click on
a mailto: link too. It opens the message window fine but it asks me
again for my pop and imap passwords.
The worst is that it then continue to periodically pop the password
entry, even with evolution closed. I have to launch
I like to map Meta to the windows keys, so that I can bind Meta+
to shortcuts that use the key. My workaround for this bug has been to
pick Super in the window properties, and then map meta to the windows
keys. This makes the win keys move windows, leaving alt untouched,

Devhelp doesn't show "Gtk+ Faq" and "Gtk+ Tutorial" because their html
files doesn't exists in /usr/share/doc/libgtk2.0-doc/gtk-tutorial/ and
gtk-faq directories

I have an x86 (celeron) based PC that had been running ubuntu 6.06. I upgraded
online and reset the system.
Now, whenever I log in, I have my background, whatever icons I had, but the
toolbars on the top and bottom

I encountered this problem while in gThumb. Attach camera, choose
import, drop down the list of filesystems and the application crashes. I
used bug buddy, it went to gnome, where they marked the report as a

Use Case
If a directory had files foo1, foo3 fooN+1 but no foo2, foo4 foo5.
(Just to make the example work better, assume all files are big enough to call
for 20 seconds copying time, and it will cost you several minutes to restore
them all.

Issue is gone. Don't recall exactly what I did to make it go away, but
I believe it involved mv'ing the old home directory aside and then
selectively pulling things back into a fresh one.
