I went to check this one in 6.06... and discovered a possibly related
bug that's even more irritating: The "You have inserted a blank CD-R"
popup goes away on it's own after two or three seconds, without any
input from the user.
The blank CD-R also doesn't appear in Nautilus' Tree view.

Gaim 2 for edgy is missing the MSN emoticon (or smiley) for :|. Any
chance it could be put back in?

I agree that this is an important bug that should be fixed in Edgy. The
fix will be included in Epiphany 2.16.2, but it's easy to add the patch
to the current package, so I hope Edgy will get the patch sooner rather
than later. I've already rebuilt my Epiphany with it, so if others want
to do the
I have also seen this on a Acer Aspire 3003LCi, but slightly different
way. The battery, on AC, reports charge correctly. Though, from
observation, via g-p-m and acpi, when on battery, the battery reports
100% charge when the actual charge is 50%. When it is under 50%, it
reports 0%.

1. I think so. I didn't have one, I probably had an old fdi file? My
device was also 512MB, the '128' is just from the USB ident string.
2. Mine is the same. I didn't see that option - if there is one, it

Yep, it's still there on Edgy. I don't know what's so hard about fixing this
bug, I mean this is low hanging fruit after all and should take about ten
minutes to fix.

The same problem rose after I upgraded to Ubuntu Edgy.
And I had another problem linked to this issue : my alt+tab and ctrl+alt+tab
didn't work.
I solved this issue by renaming all my .gnome and .gnome2 pref folders thus

I have the same issue, where in Dapper it was even in the menus. After
updating, or from a fresh install (I tried both) that menu item has been
remove and when trying to install the gnome applet in the panel, nothing
appears at all.
Also available to do some testing (my laptop is a Thinkpad T60 wi
a co-worker and I were experiencing the same problems on our Ubuntu 6.10
(fresh) installs, I happened to drop by here:

Did the lshal log help in determining the problem?

I've recently installed Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft and from that point Firefox
(2.0+0dfsg-0ubuntu3) is not able to open https websites at all
works in konqueror 3.5.5, works in mozilla 1.7.13
Anyone as a clue to solve this issue ?

Nothing at all, I was running GnomeBaker trying to burn an ISO image
which is not working for me! And then totem crashes on me even though I
