When I suspend/hibernate from GDM for the first time, it works alright.
After resuming and trying a second time, nothing happens. I'll attach
part of my syslog. Might be a problem with NetworkManager?
I'm using feisty.
** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu)
I just noticed there's just a huge pause; After about 30 or 60 seconds,
the suspend/hibernate starts and works perfectly.
Maybe there's something interesting in my syslog? I can't seem to
identify anything...
** Attachment added: Syslog from boot over suspend to resume
I since upgraded to Dapper but as long as I used Breezy I had the
problem. Apparently fixes from Dapper were not backported so the bug
is probably still there.

Huge mem leak
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kde
KDE 3.5.5
KMediaFactory 0.5.1
Gnome 2.16.1 (running Edgy Final)
KMediaFactory is a good little app for making DVD's. But after
installing it I notice that it's not anywhere in the main menu and I
have to start it from a terminal. Surely a bug.

John, Please see Note 3 in my original entry.
Dave, On a hunch, I started with installing the debug package for GDM.
The only line I see of importance in the messages log is:
