Actually, I notice that toggling the Preferences option for hidden files
on/off always requires a re-launch of nautilus to take effect, not
necessarily only when enabling hidden files. It is interesting to note
that the shortcut ctrl-h updates the listing immediately.

I went to the securety and put the autologin on and it worked fine.
