I think I have the same problem with a PCI dialup modem. I can make
connection work by "sudo wvdial", after I edited /etc/wvdial.conf to be
like the attached copy. (I did run "sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf"

I'm using up to date Xubuntu Feisty, and I notice since install that the first
GDM login attempt always fail for me.
It looks like the first keyboard event/pushed button would be not pushed at all
so for example if I try to login as
"JohnDoe" I got
yes,i think all application with multi-tabs support has the same bug,maybe
it's the keybord driver's bug!can u tell me how can i find the posit where
is bug generated!

Yes, "Desktop Effects" are enabled (both desktop-on-a-cube and wobbly
windows). Also, compiz.real is running, though I never explicitly
installed it and I've no idea what it does.

I have attempted this on my system, both with, and without desktop effects
enabled.
Steps I took:
* (Desktop effects initially enabled)
* Right click on top panel bar
* Select properties
* Set orient

The workaround on the 10-storage-policy.fdi file resolved my problem
(the usb esternal HD doesn't umount correctly: I'd the "cannot eject
volume" message error and the drive were mounted again).

Steps to reproduce:
- Copy a CD and keep the mouse pointer hovered over the "copy" button.
- When the cd has been copied, press ENTER (don't move the mouse)
- Insert a new cd (don't move the mouse)
- when the tracks have loaded, try to clic

bug because I've since reinstalled the system.

not. You can type only English in the applet not CJK or the like.

Okay ... somehow bug-buddy didn't behave it like I would've expected it
to (bug-buddy popped up with that error report when I started GNOME), so
I did a manual backtrace now:
