That setting does indeed seem to work better, in that my focus is no
longer stolen all the time. In fact, I rather think it should be the
default setting, but if the metacity maintainer in Ubuntu disagrees,

And the gnome-panel was updated.

Interesting. When I plug my headphones in, I can hear sound.
I've fooled with every lever in Volume control to make sure that it was
not muted and had volume, but the only way I've been able to hear sound
is with head phones.
I didn't experience this behavior in 7.04, but do now in 7.10.

I can confirm the last comment. On feisty evince this document rendered
fine but on gutsy the text and some pictures are missing. Rendering with
xpdf is fine. When I select the text I can see it, the pictures do not
show. Other PDF files do not show this problem.

Yes, they are the same... even with part of the stack trace unusable,
the expansion of the evo function call shows a search in any field in
Contacts.
I will mark upstream & this one as duplicates. Please comment on bug
135471 from now on. Thanks for the prompt response.

Attached is a screen shot of the problem. I included the entire menu
bar to contrast it with the other icons (not for instance firefox has a
black border around the icon as is expected).

I just tried creating a new user, and everything works as it should -- no
delay, no dissapearing events.
Could this be my profile is corrupted?

When found the sequence esc[5i start a default printer
and print the text, stop when found the esc[4i.
For example the gnome-terminal can create a temporary file

Happens here too, Gutsy installer running with "persistent" from a USB
stick, Rhythmbox gets stuck every time Virgin changes tracks. It
doesn't actually seem to crash for me, just stops playing.
