It still seems to affect people using .ttc or .ttf fonts on any part of
their GUI element. Bug is still most apparent in firefox.

After upgrading libcairo (1.4.2-0ubuntu1.2), the crash was disappeared.
But when people use 'gulim.ttc' or some other fonts, they will see blank

Running ubuntu gutsy amd64. With an 'Intel Corp. Easy PC Camera' running
with the latest (via repository) gspca driver. RGB and BGR data are
getting flipped. camorama and gqcam ouput look fine by default, but
xawtv and ekiga show clearly blue-tinted
I tried kdm as well and it failed in a similar fashion although the
screen blanked out before returning to the login screen.
I have acted as a tester for Ubuntu for all releases since Warty but am unable
to proceed at this point (livecd doesn't work, kdm and gdm fail).

Seb pointed out to me that the patch is broken on Ubuntu Hardy. Here's
the proposed solution:

everytime I plug it in it gets "decrypted", but I have to mount it
manually via 'mount /dev/mapper/luks_123deviceid123 /media/mountpoint'

Way to reproduce:
1) Have any new messages in a USENET account and read it
2) Press F9 or push a button to refresh the messages in all your accounts
3) The read messages in the USENET group are marked as unread again, but only
in the left colum

The point being, "useful to debug" is useful when you do want to debug,
but pretty worthless if they end up where they will not be seen. Even
if you notice a warning like that in your .xsession-errors (confession:
I run tail -f on mine in a terminal at all times) it's hard to correlate
the warning

Travis, why is this bug closed as invalid?
True that alacarte doesn't crash, but there's a TypeError and there
shouldn't be any.
I've got this in Hardy a couple of times today... Open alacarte and edit
a menu item.
