I've found out the cause of this problem. It's the "Disable all menu access
keys" option accessible from "Edit" > "Keyboard Shortcut". If this option
checked , the labels will be gone after the gnome-terminal restarted.
To reproduce this bug maybe you should test it by doing so.

1. Open Evolution
2. Open the folder with the email
3. Click on the email
4. Enter your passphrase; Evolution asks twice for some reason
5. Watch the email-preview flash and the preview window is stuck with this
flashing no matter what I click on.

line, which isn't showed.

The upstream bug is very unlikely to get fixed at all now that the
backend of nautilus is switching from gnome-vfs to gio/gvfs: whatever
the current status, isn't it better to close this bug as wontfix ?
I have juste tested on hardy with the new nautilus and sftp:
* I can cancel a "live" network
It's totally related. If that bug get fixed, if you press the space bar
with that fix included it'll do a play/pause instead a play/stop.

I will try using a live CD but I will need appropriate security to access my
NAS and I don't recall if I can do that from a live CD.
Will keep you posted.
BTW - Jorge, were any development changes made to gedit or am I simply
"trying" something ?
