This particular bug, at least on Ubuntu Hardy beta, does prevent saving
files. Under cifs on Gutsy, it was reported that files could be save
after clearing the error message and retrying (maybe more than once).
Under Hardy I can't make that work.

Yes, this seems to happen for all ATI graphics cards now.
It must be because although the open source ATI drivers support compiz
on many cards (actually it supports it much better on my card than the
proprietary driver, which has all sorts of problems), ALL ATI cards are
now blacklisted by compiz
How would I do that? I have zero experience using gvfs.

In the strace there was a mention of some files with the name of Sigur
Rós in them. The file system is UTF-8, but for some reason these files
names have ISO8859-1 or Windows 1252 encoding. This usually makes ls and
other command line tools just show "?" for the non-latin characters. I

No special configurations have been added.
In order to synch my Palm Trio m150 with Evolution I have to do one of
two things.
1) Either start Evolution; select Edit -> Synchronization Options;
select the conduit;
Ummmh i using 8.04 beta but it apears again, after i choose change the
theme it go's rapide as an tgv. i push down onche and i am on the bottem
of the game, dont close it in ubuntu 8.04 until its fixed!!!

The applet show the two desktop and i can't change of desktop by a click on the
applet.
But I can change of desktop with the Ctrl+Right or Ctrl+Left.

Did you uncheck Power Manager in the Sessions menu? I had the same
issue, then I checked that and on the next restart pushing the button
worked fine.

Note that the default CD burning application in Hardy is Brasero, and
this isn't a problem in Brasero.
So while nautilus-cd-burner is apparently still broken, one workaround
for this would be to go with Brasero instead.

Similar (or same) as bug #187524 however on a Dell Inspiron 6400. Screen turns
off momentarily then turns back on when power manager is set to "Do Nothing" or
"Blank Screen" on lid close.
My problem has not gone away as with #187524
Ah, finally I get what you are saying (pardon me being slow ;-)). Yes,
that is not possible now. I've grown a habit of working around this
behaviour but it sure is annoying and unintuitive.
