The problem with the posted solution to this bug is that Fixedsys
Excelsior really needs to be viewed at 12-point (its native bitmap
resolution) to look good. It generally appears blurry at other sizes.

I have just done a fresh install of Hardy and can confirm that the
problem is exactly the same. One thing that might be important is that
the monitors are configured as separate X screens rather than using
Twinview.
It might not make any difference, but I'm using the drivers directly

I'm using updated Hardy Beta. I can't make Ubuntu to show the correct
time becuase either the clock apple shows the wrong time or the time in
the world map is wrong. There's always 2 hours difference. date and date
-u both shows the correct time.

have some dbus, network, etc issue on your box? could you try using ssh
and see if you get the same issues there? are local copies, etc working
correctly?

The nautilus settings are a pale comparison to the former Removable
Drives menu - failing to autodetect plenty of [non-default] installed
programs, as seen in Bug 191475. This almost feels like a regression,
and disturbingly similar to the Windows autolaunch menu, which limits

Did so, and the results are basically non. Turns out that gvfsd-smb is
not to be run manually (request some "key-value pairs"). On the other
hand, .xsession-errors, dmesg, /var/log/messages and /var/log/syslog say
nothing about gvfs*, smb*, cifs* or whatever related to the problem.
