I didn't have much luck trying the fix for poppler on the
freedesktop.org bug.
First of all it's statically linked to evince so you have to recompile
evince. You can't just test it by compiling poppler.
Secondly, evince doesn't even compile with any other poppler (0.7.3,

After unplugging AC, even though a popup informs me that AC power has
been unplugged, the battery status applet keeps displaying AC power.
After a little while, it crashes...

If my laptop is on battery and has the screen locked, plugging in the AC brings
up the screensaver password request.
is this an intentional feature? It seems like it may be something interpreting
the ACPI event as input.

I vote return to Gutsy behaviour. IMO both Gutsy and Hardy have broken
behaviour, namely that g-p-m periodically overrides my set-by-Fn+Up/Down
day to day choice on backlight brightness. At least with Gutsy I could
choice the set point.
