I'm having the same problem, I guess.
When I open an application (xmoto for example) to fullscreen it almost
immediately jumps to windowed. If I move mouse or press keys it doesn't.
When I stop moving mouse or pressing keys it goes to the windowed mode.

I am having the same problem. Totem and Rhythmbox stopped working after
upgrading to 8.04. I get Playback Error Failure to create stream:

get confused when the root device is classified by hal to be removable.

Interestingly enough this doesn't now look f-spot related. If I try and quit
the mdb session this also hangs in the same way. Looks to me that mono isn't
terminating processes containing threads correctly on this system.

Unfortunately, right now there is no package with debug symbols for
1:2.22.1-0ubuntu4.1 version of gnome-control-center. So I have

I had the same thing just now. I have Ubuntu server 8.04 sharing a
partition via samba. I connected to the drive from places-network and
browsing to it. I then put in a blank cdrom and tried to drag some files
from the samba drive directly to the blank cd, the first folder copied,
but as soon as
I forgot to mention, my client is 8.04 installed the day before
yesterday. I don't know if this is related, but when I tried to mount
the drive as CIFS (which worked before I upgraded to 8.04), I got the
follwing error:
sudo mount -t cifs //media/hda1 /media/media-hda1 -o username=tward
[sudo]
