I constantly have the same problem (hardy with compiz enabled) with java
applications such as intellij IDEA.

Why is this low? Its a showstopper for Ubuntu-installations that uses an
Ubuntu-server instead of Microsoft-servers and VPN. Using gvfs are a
competetive solution if we could rely on it.

I absolutely hate this bug.
I would also note that the most problematic are the top cornersas area
above window icon and control box with maximize, minimize and close
button cannot be used for resizing.
And I would also note that the window control menu (the one you get when
you press Alt+Space)

Gnome used to do this, up to 2.22. Not sure if it's a bug or a 'feature'
in 2.22, but its gone now. Think this is better filed on the gnome
bugtracker than with ubuntu though.
