Ran into this bug when doing a dist-upgrade from Edgy to Hardy (yes.
directly!). Since I'm using KDE, I've moved /etc/rc[1-5].d/S13kdm to S30kdm
and then rebooted my system - It's running fine now.

I now re-installed 8.04, did NOT do the updates, and installed

I'm using Ubuntu 7.04, in the gnome environment in the power management I set
to put the display in sleep mode after 6 minutes. This worked until i activated
the screen saver.
The settings are:
- screen saver after 5 minutes
- monitor in sleep mode
Well, seems like I 'solved' the problem by deleting the entire top panel
and re-creating it from scratch. After logging out and back in again,
the notification area worked as normal again. Of course, this is just a
workaround and not a real solution to whatever was causing this problem.

Here are the steps to reproduce the bug while reading a DVD:
1. Start playing a movier using totem and totem-gstreamer
2. Click on Sound -Languages - Track XXX and select another than the

dear Chris,
out of rhythmbox everything goes well, i can move whatever song i want to
trash, but i can't from inside of rhythmbox...
Here you are the result of the command mount -l:
/dev/sda3 on / type ext3 (rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro) []
proc on /proc type proc (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
Shouldn't this be marked 'Fix Committed' and not 'Fix released'?
Nautilus in Ubuntu 8.04 does not fix this bug (although I see in the
upstream comments that it's fixed in Ubuntu 8.10)

I've marked this bug as 'Incomplete' instead of 'Invalid'. The issue is

Set computer to auto-login as a user, and hit CTRL-ALT-Backspace by
accident. Gnome presented a login box, and I would expect to NEVER see
that anymore until I change the setting or hit log-out-user in the
shutdown dialog.
