I run metacity so I don't think it's a compiz issue.
However, I just gave F-spot a try and it did not crash. However it
did give an error about not being able to connect to the camera.

I don't know what driver is used on the ATI - the xorg.conf's "Configured Video
Device" section is completely empty. In the proprietary drivers there is
nothing about video (just the wifi).
The Xorg.0.log contains lines 'Load driver "ati"' and 'Load driver "mach64"'.

I think that middle-click is bad idea for opening new tabs. Better idea
is default opening new folders in tabs (like in Firefox), so middle-

Problem(s) have been solved upstream. I have however only been able to
backport the fix for my particular problem (html comments in xml) to the
current Ubuntu version... I haven't been able to locate what makes the

upstream has targeted 2.24 (and it is available for current Evolution
