Got the same problem.. Mostly with irssi with many tabs opened. It's
kind of regression because it worked fine before update to II.
As a temporary solution I suggest to use 'terminator'. It's a like a
gnome-terminal wrapper, and makes me able to use alt+n keys with tabs.

I can confirm it.
When Ubuntu starts up, the backlight is dimmed (battery or no battery,
doesn't matter). I have to use the battery applet to put it to normal.
It dims back when I start Mplayer or some video player. When I pull the
AC plug in (or remove it) nothing happens.

I haven't seen it happen spontaneously myself, but I can reproduce it by
deleting files into an empty trash, or by emptying the trash. Basically
anything that causes the trash icon to change.

I have problems trying to get Nautilus to connect to a particular FTP server.
I actually use two different FTP accounts/servers, Nautilus works perfectly
with one of them, but for some reason it always fails to connect to the second

It happens with every user, who deleted the gnome-panel form "sessions".
Users with gnome-panel do not have this problem!

Hello. I also found this bug on my Hardy, using gnome-utils
2.20.0.1-1ubuntu5. I tried to generate a backtrace, but am unable to do
it using the command lines of the debug pages :

Screenshots are attached. Especial attention to "RIC > Adilson" Folder and
"Entrada" (the same as "imbox"). First moment is fine but if i double click
one mail appear, or in case of "Entrada"many unread e-mails appear.
