Sorry that I didn't get enough information reported in my bug submittal.
The deleted files and folders in question were large and by the time that
more info was requested I had already deleted them from the USB Drive using

Ok, I did some research with our system administrators. We figured it
out. It's the gvfs-mount issue with security=share in the samba
configuration of the server similar to the discussed ones in previous
versions of ubuntu.
Since I upgraded from hardy to intrepid I've got the problem again.

Totem-xine can play this file, and ffmpeg can process it too. Rhythmbox
cannot play this file. The Desktop preview feature plays the file

But only if i uncheck activate screensaver when idle in screensaver settings.
If I activate the screensaver, it will prevent the computer from hibernating as

The ptoblem is actually with the tab control of GTK, so it shows up in
Gedit, Pidgin, Nautilus and several others. Firefox doesn't exhibit it,
I believe because they don't contain controls in the tab panels, but
merely use the tabs as a signal to switch by other means.
