I can confirm the bug with an up-to-date Jaunty on my Lenovo 3000 C200.
The same thing with brightness keys and applet.
I also have a problem with brightness settings : when I configure the system to
do not dim the screen after few minutes of inactivity, the setting is ignored
and it still tries
changing to 'new'... hoping for re-triage, don't think it's wishlist,
because no new code is required, just packaging of wdfs.

MP610. The Linux drivers are not perfect, but for printing they work

I can reproduce it as well with some fiddling, but it happens very
rarely. This does not look like a serious bug which warrants an SRU in
my opinion, and the patch is far from trivial, thus it does not match
the SRU criteria.
Also, please get this fixed in Jaunty first. Thanks a lot for your work

I'm starting to think to some gcc misbehaviour (or, more realistically,
some libgnomecanvas misbehaviour exposed only by some gcc)... does the
bug also imply painful slowliness i.e. when resizing?

Well after mucking around with kdebluetooth4 and stuff - I down graded
all 4.25 bluetooth components to 4.12 as suggested by Alex and using
bluez-gnome - bluetooth worked !

Hm. You are right, I just tried it and files keep the same permissions.
However, they show the "readonly" emblem even though it's not enabled in
