I just got an update of the 2.6.27-11-generic kernel and my webcam is no
longer working. I don't think it can even detect the webcam anymore. Cheese
fails to load and skype cannot see my webcam now. This has happened only
recently when the update for version 11 of the kernel came up.

of evolution and the crash-report service had kicked in...

I also see this issue with Intrepid on Thinkpad R52. I'm not sure when
it appeared (with update to Intrepid or later). For me, changing the
"lock on suspend" option has no effect; computer "resuspends" regardless
of that setting.

when i did the gdb on totem, the totem player hung there and then turned
grey, when i quit it shut down. but i still got the segmentation fault
on this also, i will work on the valgrind tonight and post it either
tonight or tomarrow.

Bug is alive and well still in Ubuntu Hardy, and unchecking
enable_animations in gconf spectacularly fails to fix it here. Whether

I also have this issue. I mounted my laptop's home folder to my desktop
machine over sftp. My laptop's home folder does have a "pictures" folder
so it triggered the picture CD logic. I understand that it's not clear
what the best way to detect picture CDs is. So how about allowing users
