It's not just Firefox, I noticed sound cuts out when I scroll in Geany
(programming editor) holding down the arrow key.
I notice this on a Intel core 2 computer.
Why doesn't sound use the 2nd processor so it doesn't block the sound when cpu
is 100%?

regularly and the only way to restart is to exit Evolution and log back
in. It only crashes the exchange calendar, local calendars and my
google calendar seem to work proper

The fact is that this is not something an average user should worry about.

The metacity process that you notice using 100% cpu is not the one you
are actually using. It is a process left over from an X11 crash, you
can 'kill -9' it.
Not really useful, but here is how I reproduce the X11 crash: Run Half
Life 2 in Steam (in wine). Exit the game.

yes, this is reproducible, i tried a fresh install of evolution/ubuntu
with the same result everytime.

- open the newly received email and check the email source

It seems that hal support is not always available. For example 'lshal' does not
report any UDI for backlight on Samsung NC10. Apart from that, it's a bad idea
to use hal in xrandr functions.

Binary package hint: evolution
I reported this as bug # 366471, but can't successfully execute a
backtrace or stacktrace on evolution-data-server, which I believe is the
component that is crashing. Attaching the debug file here.

It doesn't work on evolution-data-server alone, since e-d-s is called
